Who throws a shoe?...Honestly

Hola. Miercoles 22 feb todavia con lagañas en los ojos hago el esfuerzo pa escribir algo nuevo en mi blog. I spent the whole day in bed yesterday...apparently i mixed too many different brands of alcoholic beverages and got intoxicated. So i stayed in bed and watched The Life Aquatic for about the 6th time now. No me harto.

This is something i wanna get in ny next week amongst other cds.

Naming a band is the hardest task i've encountered after losing my virginity. Feel free to give your opinion, leave a band name in the comments if your feeling creative. David updated his blog finally after a month or so, i suggest you guys go check that shit out...really cool stuff there, quality biz.

*Slide theme today is "El mundo de luispunk"...im gonna dedicate this one to him today...My dear deadwalking bassplayer of mine where have you been?...adonde te meteis?!?!?!....mucha suerte con tu fiesta....si el avion no se cae en mi viaje volvere pa ayudarte...espero que te hartes de la guitarra acustica pronto pa ke me la devuelvas heheh. We have to play yoyo more often.

Last weekend on saturday i went to to gonzalez's show with special guest Loin, really cool show and good music. We had good money on us so we got shit faced at the start of the thing. Hell of a night anyways.

Here are some clips :

*Pause to load on bottom left corner of clips if slow connection.

I got most of the beggining but i left the batteries at home so i ran out of charge quite soon into Gonzalez appearance.

NY departure date is approaching. I leave on tuesday to miami where charlie promises me a good time and we both arrive at La Guardia airport in ny the 2nd. I'll post pics of the trip which will hopefully contain pornographic material i promise.

Fui al cine a ver The Family Stone. Weiiiird....deverdad no se, veanla y averiguen ustedes.

I found a new game which is amazing and terribly adictive i warn you all...have will power, but try it. Make sure you click the "satellite" tab and then zoom in a su gusto!...i found my house with it....hehe.

Passport insanity day

I never thought government offices could be so stressful. Today I got up at 6am in the morning thinking i was still dreaming witht the pounding of the alarmclock in my head and yuki my cat biting at my ankles.

Nevertheless i made my way to that building in front of el malecon por la independencia and started making the line to renew my passport. Yari came with me (like always) to help out...being the nice girl she is, at some point she even had to run back for a photocopy i did not have with me, aoooooowww. Government offices are ridiculously disorganised.

This is what i wanted to point out in my blog today actually. Hopefully some government stooge or politician with a brain will listen to my request....i ought to post this in the paper, but id have to pay to have the cut in the classifyed ads and who would give a shit anyways.

My picture was first crooked, then i had to drive 10 miles to get it re-taken...then it had red-eye. Had to do this all over again three times. Good news it that i got all my stuff together and my trip to NY is no longer on jeopardy....hurray!

Brit Awards

The brit awards took place and bands such as The Magic Numbers, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, Maximo Park, Oasis, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys amongst others were nominated and won awards for their achievements. Big fan of the event even if they didnt televise anywhere although they should have. One event that will be televised soon will be the NME Shockwave Tour...with the bands mentioned above and a couple more, this will be on the 1st of March and will be aired completely on Mtv2.\

Here are a couple of pictures from the tour:

*The Slide theme today is "Spam @ El Rincon" a show we played up closer to the crowd. We really enjoyed the gig.

I went over Fernando Flaquer's place today (Numas drummmer and friend) to grab a beer and a chat and we ended up having quite a good time...with an acoustic guitar a harmonica and a capo we killed most of the afternoon putting up a small playlist to preform in front of old people and whoever the hell is there whenever we play...nothing big, no promotion whatsoever. Small pubs and nice cozy places are targets so far. There will be a special guest singer too. Someone knows how to sing!!! :P...I said you had it in you once didnt i??? well anyways you know who you are...for the rest of you it will remain a surprise.

Visit www.myspace.com/spamart, i posted a little video. Enough no one is reading this far.

Oh the heart beats in its cage

"All our friends they're laughing at us

Look around there's no one else there"

Insomnia....

It is exactly 6:43am and I have gotten absolutely no sleep at all tonight. Whats ironic is that yesterday david was complaining that he wasnt getting enough sleep and i was thinking...hmmm thats not a problem i ever have and baaaaaaaam, its contageous....I hope its not insomnia or something that will result in me having to pay visits to a psychiatric hospital...with my luck i widnt expect any less...reminds me of those "oh no its nothing" scenarios where it turns out to be something horrible hehe. Find out what simple things you might think are nothing can actually kill you.

Heres a video of David Blaine flying:

City is red, couples everywhere bars and restaurants have valentine drinks and menues. Valentines day for me is just like any other day tho, its more of a commercial thing, i mean i believe that love and friendship can be spread everyday of the year...no hacer un chou una vez al año.

Heres what i got for valentines day:

Start spreading the news(8)

Lots happening, alot of things changing and even more things are still to come. The good news about it all is that all of the changes are positive. It looks like tables have turned hehe, life cant be a bitch forever or can it??

Oh well after my last post about the beach i have (and this will sound very redundant) done nothing...if you do the maths thats alot of days ive been slacking off for. Fact of the matter is that when you are stuck in a place that does not help you exploit your true (and in my case, the only) abilities, nine out of ten times you will end up doing exactly that...NOTHING.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and im Cupid:

I still have the same girlfriend for a change (who by the way is deliciously scratching the hell out of my scalp at this moment) which means ive lost my thirst and uncontrolable desire to touch different textures of female skin after a certain period of time. Does this mean ive become attached?? in love?? sensitive?? and the rest of those homosexual contraptions??. I hope not.

Alex Ferreira mi pana de long time va a tar tocando en madrid pa lo ke esten por ahi cerca se den una vuelta, aqui les va el flyer:

What else hmmm...The Strokes will also be playing at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY this 3rd of march and I will be joining chazz and deif to see that. Rumor has it that kanky will be there too and will complain when david moon walks all over town square hehehe (because thats his thing). Rumors also say that we will freeze to death upon arrival to the city that never sleeps, click here to see the article, the pics in there are quite pretty too...aaand scary.

Alex Ferreira has a web page make sure you check it out, www.alexferreira.com.
